“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

In our society, there is a great emphasis on man’s ability and increasing knowledge. Unfortunately, this intellectualism has blurred our eternal vision. We have substituted information and involvement where contentment and peace belong. Our spirituality has melted down to emotional experiences, creating our own way to heaven, and everything is acceptable as long as we don’t force it down anyone’s throat.

In the book of John, Jesus claimed he was the only way to get to heaven. “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except by Me.” (John 14:6) All are welcome, but it must be on His terms. Not everyone who dies goes to heaven. Doing good deeds doesn’t bring salvation, nor does being religious. How then, can a person guarantee eternal life with God?

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved” (Acts 16:31). To believe doesn’t just mean believe He exists. It means to completely trust Him, get to know him, spend time with Him, become like Him. “Confess your sins and He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

You might think, “Hey, I’m not that bad a person, I don’t really need to be forgiven” or “No way can I be forgiven for the things I have done!”. The Bible says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. ALL. Nobody is so good that they don’t need forgiveness. Nobody is so bad that can’t get forgiveness.

God desires to know you. He sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to forgive all the sins of those who would commit their life to Him. It’s a free gift. He’s waiting for you to choose, but He won’t force you. The choice is yours, all you need do is ask.

      • If you would like to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ you must simply:

1) Turn to God from your own way of living (repentance)
2) Invite Christ to come into your life and trust Him to forgive your sins
3) Allow God to direct your life

Receiving Jesus Christ is not just an emotional experience; nor is it just accepting with your mind that Jesus is the Son of God. It means total trust, an act of your will. “To all who received Him, He gave the right to become children of God. All they needed to do was to trust Him to save them” (John 1:12).
